A happy Sunday to you from Miss Kitty

I've been working like the dickens getting ready for the autumn shows; meanwhile our Miss Kitty lounges soaking up the summer rays!

There are piles and piles of spun cotton figures everywhere.

Here's a sneak peek at a batch of Halloween I'm working on.

Have a fabulous Sunday from Me and Miss Kitty!

The Dog Days of Summer

I was feeling a bit under the weather today. It was a great excuse to get out of the studio for a couple of hours and instead, bask in the warm glow of the Nevada sun. I grabbed a lounge chair, my iPad and our ever-bouncy dog for a little outdoor healing therapy.

Gypsy is eternally alert and scanning the horizon for something to chase.

Today proved no different. I wish I possessed half the energy she has.

The Mr. Wondering why I'm calling him while He's weed-eating

So I lounged around while the mr. Did some sorely needed weed-eating.
We're prepping an area in the front yard for growing a clover lawn. It was supposed to be planted in Spring, but it was so windy and wet that we'll have to make do with Summer.

I sure hope you all are having a fabulous summer. If you haven't spent any time out of doors, I'd highly recommend it. Yes, you have to find the time to squeeze it in, but it will recharge your battery and give you more energy in the end!

WIP - A Whole Bunch of Spun Cotton Ornaments

As you can see, I'm working on a whole bunch of spun cotton ornaments. Most will be making their grand debut at the upcoming "Tinsel and Treasures" and "Halloween & Vine" shows in September.

I will however offer a scant few before then via online shops, auctions etc. I'll always let you know when something is available by announcing here on the blog, so please stay tuned!

Creepy Critters

Creepy critters is one thing the desert has no shortage of. I found this big, beetle-ish head and forearms in our front yard this afternoon. kinda makes me wonder what took the rest of him away...ewwwww.

He made a lovely photo subject though. I didn't need to ask him to hold still even once!
